VINTAGE LAPD ~ POLICE GARAGE, 1958

This photo hangs in the hallway on the second floor of PAB (Police Administrative Building the entirely unispired and souless replacement for the revered Parker Center). The photo of the police garage at Parker Center (most LAPD stations have their own police garage to maintain the geographic area's assigned units – aka: squad cars) is circa 1958. Note the '57 Fords and the brand new '58 Chevrolet DelRays. The 'Hot-Sheet' desks were just being installed in the Chevys and retrofitted to the '57 Fords.
